Renewable ELECTRICITY
Our CHyP® pyrolysis units can also make electricity, using the same feedstocks as our diesel and hydrogen products.
OPTIMIZED FOR THE
PRODUCTION OF ELECTRICITY
By adjusting their parameters, our CHyP® units can produce syngas that is higher in energy content, so there’s no need to derate the performance of natural gas gensets that use our syngas as fuel to make electricity.
And, like other PPI renewable energy systems, our renewable electricity system can use an incredibly wide variety of renewable feedstocks to produce electricity that is beneficial for the planet.
POWER TO THE PLANT
- Multiple products, multiple revenue streams
- Renewable Electricity
- Excellent yield: 1550 kilowatt hours per dry metric tonne of biomass
- Syngas energy content: 15.8 megajoules per cubic meter (425 Btu/scf)
- Renewable Pro-C@ Biochar
- Waste Heat
- Available energy depends on heat recovery methods
- Applications include: heat source for feedstock drying, other industial heat loads
- Renewable Electricity
- Small footprint
- Able to locate next to feedstock source, avoiding expensive shipping for feedstocks
- Smallest system makes 2.6 megawatts of renewable electricity
- Only 930 square meters (or 10,000 square feet) needed for one module of PPI equipment
- Modulare design makes it easy, reliable scale-up of capacity
- Sustainable
- 98% CO2 emissions reduction compared to combined cycle natural gas
- No catalysts necessary
- Proven performance
